Manage BOMs > Aligning the EBOM to the MBOM
Align selected lines in source and target structures
Use the manufacturing alignment command Align Selected Lines to align selected nodes in your source and target BOMs.
Nodes with different IDs can also be aligned.
Procedure
If you have not done so already, search for and open an existing work package, and then open the BOM Alignment page.
In the EBOM panel, select the source, and in the MBOM panel, select the target BOM lines to be aligned with the source.
In the MBOM panel, select Manage → Align → Align Selected .
(Optional) In the Align Selected dialog box, select the Align Properties check box to align properties defined in the preference MEAlignedPropertiesList.
Click Align. The lines are aligned and contain identical in-context IDs (IDICs), and the Absolute Transformation Matrix property is applied from the source to the target to align the part position. If you selected the Align Properties
check box, any defined properties you included, such as Quantity in the following example, are also aligned from the source to the target.
