Set Suggestive Planner scope
Suggestive Planner helps you to eliminate full structure searches by suggesting that you assign consumable parts and manufacturing features from a product to a process without necessarily showing the original product bill of material (BOM). This procedure allows you to add, remove, or edit one or more suggested scopes in a bill of process (BOP).
Procedure
Open a linked BOM and process view contained in a collaboration context (CC).
In a process view, right-click a process line with a partially assigned or unassigned assembly of parts and features, such as a station, and choose Suggestive Planner→Set Product Scope.
In the Set Product Bucket dialog box, in the BOM view, select the process line containing unassigned parts and features that are relevant to those in the process view, click Scope , and then click OK.
To edit or alter the scope, do the following.
In the process view, right-click the process line to be edited and choose Suggestive Planner→Set Product Scope.
To add or edit one or more scopes from the BOM view, click each line to be added to or removed from the process view and click Scope .
To delete a BOM line scope, in the Set Product Bucket dialog box, select the BOM Line name and click Remove Scope .
Click OK to update the process view.
Do one of the following:
Use Suggestive Planner in a process view.
Use Suggestive Planner with weld feature validation.
