Study Manager for planning and layout applications > Managing studies in Manufacturing Process Planner

Assign

    category
and state properties to a study

You can apply the study category and study state properties to studies.

This feature allows planners, simulation engineers, and layout engineers to collaborate and manage studies more effectively. You can also use these properties to better organize your studies, and take advantage of additional sorting and filtering capabilities.

Prerequisites

You or your Teamcenter administrator must add the following values to the TCMA_StudyMgrStudyGrid_Column preference:

  • Mfg0MEStudyRevision.mfg0MEStudyCategory

  • Mfg0MEStudyRevision.mfg0MEStudyState

In addition, you must add TCMA_StudyMgrStudyGrid_Column to the AWC_StartupPreferences in the Teamcenter rich client.

See Working with preferences in Active Workspace for a description of preferences and how to set them.

Procedure

  1. Navigate a bill of process (BOP) to the High Level Planning page, and then navigate to the Process Planning page.

  2. In the Process panel, select a station process or any BOP object type that is assigned to a study. Easy Plan refreshes the Study Manager panel and displays all studies that contain the selected object.

  3. In the Study Manager panel, select a study and then click the drop-down arrow for Study Category and select a value.

Note Your Teamcenter administrator can customize the Study Category and Study State lists of values (LOVs) for your environment. What you see may look different than the example in this topic.

  4. In the Study Manager panel, select a study and then click the drop-down arrow for Study State and select a value.

  5. (Optional) Perform steps four and five to apply the Study Category and Study State properties to additional studies on the Study Manager panel.
