Create substitute component

Procedure

Copy the substitute item revision to the clipboard in Multi-Structure Manager or another application.
Select the line in the product structure in Multi-Structure Manager for which you want to define this item revision as a substitute.You can also add a substitute to more than one line in a single operation by selecting all the necessary line. If the lines are packed, unpack them before you select them.
Choose Edit→Paste Substitute to paste the substitute directly. You can also choose Edit→Paste and click As Substitute of Selected Line in the resulting dialog box.
