Configuring the accountability check

Publish accountability check settings

When you save an accountability check as an available setting, Teamcenter stores the setting in a dataset. It also automatically creates a preference that references this dataset. The name of this preference depends on the types of structures that you used as the scope of the accountability check for which you saved the setting. For example, if you opened an engineering BOM and a manufacturing BOM, selected accountability check options for these two structures, and saved them as an available setting, the resulting setting is stored in the MEAccountabilityCheckSettings.BOM.BOM preference. If you used a product BOP and a plant BOP to create the setting, the setting is saved in the MEAccountabilityCheckSettings.PBOP.PlantBOP preference. An administrator can create a new instance of each of these preferences and assign it to a person, role, or group. The setting is then available to those members for use when running a simple accountability check.

You must be logged on as an administrative user to perform this task.

Procedure

  1. Search for the MEAccountabilityCheckSettings. preference that holds the setting you want to publish.

  2. Choose Edit→Options and click the Organization tab.

  3. Select the user, role, or group for whom the setting should be available.

  4. Create a new instance of the preference by clicking .

  5. Save the new instance of the preference.

When that user, role, or group signs in, the setting is available for them when they want to run an accountability check on structures of the same type.

The mechanism used to manage these preferences is common to all Teamcenter preferences.
