Resequence operations assigned to a process resource in the Line Balancing page
On the Line Balancing page, you can either resequence operations assigned to a process resource or assign operations to a different process resource. You can also sort operations data by columns in the Operations table.
Note
In Easy Plan, the ability to drag files or objects to other objects works the same way as it does in other applications. For more details on dragging or copying elements, see Rules for dragging elements from BOM to BOP or Rules for copying elements from BOM to BOP. For more details on resequencing and moving elements, see Rules for cloning, moving, and resequencing objects in the BOM or the BOP.
Prerequisites
You must have write access to the process resources and the operations you want to move.
Procedure
If you have not done so already, search for and open an existing work package that contains process resources and operations, and navigate to the Line Balancing page.
(Optional) To sequence operations assigned to the same process resource, in the Operations table, select one or more operations and do one of the following.
To move operations before another operation, drag the operations to the upper half of the operation. A blue line appears above the operation, indicating that you are moving operations before the operation in the table. To move operations after another operation, drag the operations to the lower half of the operation. A blue line appears below the operation, indicating that you are moving operations after the operation in the table.
Caution If you select and move multiple operations, all operations you select must have the same direct parent. For example, if you select multiple operations to resequence, all operations must belong to the same process station.(Optional) To move operations to a different process resource in the Operations table, select one or more operations and do one of the following.
Note The drag and drop feature works when the Operations table contains content for a process station and a process resource.
To move operations before an operation assigned to another process resource, drag the operations to the upper half of the operation.
To move operations after an operation assigned to another process resource, drag the operations to the lower half of the operation. In the image, the operation is moved to assign it as the first operation performed by the process resource that is named oper 2.Note When you sort data in the Operations table, the sort temporarily overrides any resequencing you applied to operations in the table. When you remove the sort for data in the table, all operations are properly sorted once more.
