Open existing resources

Resource Manager provides you with several ways to open existing resources. You can:

Procedure

  1. Use the Classification Search Dialog.

Click the Classification Search Dialog button in the toolbar. The Classification Search Dialog appears.

  1. Use the object ID.

Click the Object ID button in the toolbar.

Type the object ID of a resource in the dialog box. You can use wildcard characters, if necessary.

Press the Enter key.If your search returns more than one result, Teamcenter displays the result in the Classification Table view.

  1. Use the quick search.

Type a string in the search box at the top of the Teamcenter navigation pane.

  1. Open from another application.

Open the item from another application.

Use the shortcut menu or a drag-and-drop function to send it to Resource Manager on Active Workspace.
