Configure Easy Plan to use precedence constraints

Before you can use precedence constraints, you must configure Easy Plan. If you are not sure which settings you should use, please contact your Teamcenter administrator.

Prerequisites

The EP_PrecedenceConstraintsMode preference controls whether the precedence constraint solution is used during process planning and line balancing. You can set the following values for the preference:

• None—Easy Plan hides commands for this feature, and does not apply precedence constraints to data. This is the default value.

• Prevention—You can define precedence constraints, and Easy Plan prevents any actions that violate those constraints.

• Warning—You can define precedence constraints, and Easy Plan displays a warning message if any actions violate those constraints. After you perform the actions, you must resolve any problems that violate the precedence constraints within the data.

In addition, you must add EP_PrecedenceConstraintsMode to the AWC_StartupPreferences in the Teamcenter rich client. See Working with preferences in Active Workspace for more information.
