Add objects to a change notice

You can add objects to a manufacturing change notice (MCN) or an engineering change notice (ECN or CN) on a BOP or MBOM structure. If the BOP contains custom objects, your administrator must add them to the closure rule GetChangedProcessLines in the preference MEMCN_solution_object_collection_rule to track those objects.

Procedure

  1. In Manufacturing Process Planner, load the BOP or MBOM and find the set change notice.

  2. Select one or more object structures not associated to the change notice that you want to add.

Tip In the BOP or MBOM header, you can verify that a change notice is associated to at least some objects in the selected structure.

  1. Choose Tools→Change Management→Add to Change Notice.

  2. To add children of the line to the change notice, in the Add to Change Notice dialog box, select the Include subhierarchies check box.

If you do not select Include subhierarchies, only the selected line will be added to the change notice.

  1. Click OK.

Results

On your Home tab, the objects are added to the change notice folders.
