Net filtered variability for downstream applications
You can use this feature to expose the net filtered variability of bill of process (BOP) objects, such as operations, in an assembly, and then pass that configured data to downstream applications.
Easy Plan calculates and displays the net filtered variability for BOP objects as the intersection of the net variability of bill of materials (BOM) assignments and the net variability of the BOP object.
The typeAndRuleForProcessConfiguration preference controls how BOP objects are configured out, based on which configuration is applied to the BOM assignments. Set this preference to one of the following values:
MEOP:One—Easy Plan calculates the net variability of a process object and the linked net variability of its assigned children. Then, Easy Plan propagates the filtered variability to the object's assigned children.
MEOP:All—Easy Plan calculates the net variability of a process object's children intersected with the net variability of the parent object.
Net filtered variability with the MEOP:One value
This section provides information about when the typeAndRuleForProcessConfiguration preference is set to MEOP:One.
| 1 | This column displays the net variability for each child assigned to the selected operation. When the preference value is MEOP:One, Easy Plan uses the linked net variability of all assigned children in its calculation. |
|---|---|
| 2 | Easy Plan displays the net filtered variability for BOP objects in this column. Easy Plan calculates the net variability of the process object and the linked net variability with its assigned children. |
| 3 | Easy Plan propagates the net filtered variability to the object's assigned children. |
Net filtered variability with the MEOP:All
value
This section provides information about when the typeAndRuleForProcessConfiguration is set to MEOP:All.
| 1 | This column displays the net variability for each child assigned to the selected operation. When the preference value is MEOP:All, Easy Plan calculates the net variability of the process object's assigned children intersected with the net variability of the selected process object. |
|---|---|
| 2 | Easy Plan displays the net filtered variability for BOP objects in this column. Easy Plan calculates the union of the net variability of the children assigned to the selected operation. |
| 3 | When the preference value is MEOP:All, the values in the Net Variability and the Net Filtered Variability columns match. |
