Use Find commands to locate assigned process planning elements

Use the Find command to sync parts, resources, features, work stations, and other objects assigned to a BOP operation in the Process Planning task page, and to locate their occurrences in the BOM or BOE trees.

Procedure

1. Navigate to the Process Planning task page.

2. To search for an operation to which a specific part, resource, or feature is assigned, in the Process or Product BOP panel, select the BOP and click Find → Find Assigned.

3. In the Find Assigned panel, from the Object Type list, select a type such as Part, Resource, or Feature, and in the ID or Name text box, type the ID or name of the new object.

4. Click Search, and in the Results list, select a search result that is assigned to the object you created in step 3. The search result selection syncs with its association in the Process panel, and the object to which the operation is assigned is displayed in the appropriate tab in the Information panel. In this example, the resource object type selected in the Find Assigned panel syncs with its association in the Process panel, and in the Resources tab in the Information panel.

5. (Optional) To further narrow the search, in the Find Assigned panel, from the Occurrence Type list, select occurrence types to include in the search, click Search again, and select an object in the Results.

6. To find objects assigned to the selected operation, in the Information panel, select the appropriate tab, and then select an object and click Find in Assembly or Find in Resources . The relevant object is synced with the page's Process panel and the appropriate Information panel tab.

7. Search for objects using additional methods if you are using a plant BOP.
   
   
   On the Product BOP tab, select one or more operations, and click Find → Find in Process to locate the operation in the BOP Process tree. In the Find in Process panel, search results are displayed showing the equivalent plant BOP operations grouped under the parent BOP object, such as a process station. Click a search result to sync to the equivalent plant BOP operation in the Process panel.
   
   On the Product BOP tab, select and right-click a single operation, and then select Find in Process to sync to the equivalent plant BOP operation in the Process panel.
   
   On the Process tab, select and right-click an operation and then select Find in Product BOP to sync to the equivalent operation in the Product BOP tab.
