Managing the enterprise BOP > Synchronizing plant BOP and BOE structures

Create BOE from plant BOP

You can create the BOE from the top node of the plant BOP as the Create Plant option is only available for the root plant BOP line.

During BOE creation, a copy of the hierarchical structure of the plant BOP will be created to serve as the BOE, which results in the following:

  • Creation of a link between the plant BOP root and the BOE root.

  • Creation of a link between the elements of the plant BOP and the BOE.

  • Copying of the attributes from the plant BOP elements to the BOE.

Item: Name, Description

Item Revision: Name, Description

Occurrence: Name, Alias, Variant Condition, Find No The attributes for Item, Item Revision and Occurrence are configurable through a preference. The new objects in plant BOP or BOE will have same name as their respective mapped objects in the plant BOP or BOE. Note You can only use BOM line attributes.

  • Consuming stations created in BOE to plant BOP’s station process.

To create a BOE from the plant BOP, do the following:

Procedure

  1. Load and select the plant BOP root node.

  2. Right-click the plant BOP root node and choose Synchronize Process and Plant→Create Plant

The Create Plant command is launched.
