Using assignment comparison controls

Use assignment comparison controls to review the impact of part and process assignments from a source BOM such as an engineering bill of materials (EBOM) to a target BOM such as a manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM), or from a bill of materials (BOM) to a bill of process (BOP).

Show Assignment State

Use Show Assignment State to run a complete or partial assignment comparison between a source and target BOM, such as an EBOM and an MBOM or a source and target usage BOM, in the BOM Alignment task page.

Show Allocation

			Indication

Use Show Allocation Indication to run an assignment comparison between a product BOP and a plant BOP in the Process Planning and Line Balancing task pages.

Show Allocation Indication controls include the following.

	When Show Allocation Indication is active, allocation indication is on. Teamcenter Easy Plan displays BOM to BOP change status icons to show the relationship between the source and target structure. Click the icon once more to deactivate the consumption indication mode.
	Indicates the number of over assigned parts in the structure.
	Indicates the number of parts consumed in processes that are not in the plant BOP. The number indicates how many missing-in-source errors you must resolve in the structure.
	Indicates the number of mismatched parts.

Show

			Comparison

Use the comparison dashboard to compare assignment statuses of a BOM source and a BOP target.

Show Comparison controls include the following.

	When Show Comparison is active, Teamcenter Easy Plan displays assignment statuses for the structure you are viewing. Click the icon once more to deactivate comparison mode.
	Indicates that there are over consumed parts in the target structure. The number indicates how many over consumed parts are in the structure.
	Indicates that parts are consumed in processes, but they are not in the assembly. The number indicates how many missing-in-source errors you must resolve in the structure.
	Indicates the number of mismatched parts.
	Indicates that parts are added to the source structure. The number indicates how many parts are added.

Compare & Show

			Differences

Use the compare & show differences dashboard to compare assignment statuses between a plant BOP master source and a plant BOP target in the Compare Alternatives task page.

Compare & Show Differences controls include the following.

	When Compare & Show Differences is active, comparison mode is on. Teamcenter Easy Plan displays differences between the structures you are viewing. Click the icon once more to deactivate comparison mode.
	Indicates that there are over consumed parts in the target structure. The number indicates how many over consumed parts are in the structure.
