Integrate Electronic Work Instructions with third-party tools

Troubleshoot Microsoft Office document support

If you use Microsoft Office documents for work instructions or attachments and end users report slow response times or experience memory leaks, reinstall and troubleshoot each Office application on the Teamcenter server.

Procedure

  1. On the server machine where Microsoft Office is installed, click Start → All Programs → Microsoft Office xxxx, where xxxx is the Office version.

Note Only Microsoft Office 2013 and 2016 are supported.

  2. Right-click the application (Word, Visio, or PowerPoint) and choose Troubleshoot compatibility.

  3. In the Program Compatibility wizard, if you are prompted to try recommended settings or troubleshoot the program, click Troubleshoot program.

  4. At the What problems did you notice? prompt, select The program worked in earlier versions of Windows but won’t install or run now and click Next.

  5. At the Which version of Windows did this program work on before? prompt, select Windows Server 2008 (Service Pack 1) and click Next.

  6. Click Start the Program, and after the application starts, click Next.

  7. At the Is the problem fixed? prompt, click Yes, save these settings for this program.

  8. Click Close the troubleshooter.
