Specifying the occurrence types to show as parts and tools

You can configure which occurrence types to show as parts or tools in the MERelationTypePartsConsumed preference (for parts) and the MERelationTypeUsedEquipment preference (for tools).

In addition, the Electronic Work Instructions application provides additional configuration specifying which parts and tools to show. You can display parts and tools assigned to the current step only or parts and tools assigned to the current step plus its immediate parent. This behavior is determined by the following preferences:

• EWI_PartsInformationRule for parts

• EWI_ToolsInformationRule for tools

These preference can have the following values:

• Step (default value) Parts and tools assigned to the current step are shown.

• AggregateImmediateParent Parts and tools assigned to the current step and its parent are shown.
