Replace target assemblies with a product BOP in process planning

If your organization works primarily with a product bill of process (BOP) structure, you can replace the default manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM) view in the left panel of the Process Planning page with a product BOP structure. You can then allocate product BOP processes and operations to plant BOP elements in the Process panel, just as you can in the Line Balancing page.

By default, the Process Planning page displays MBOM elements in the Target Assemblies tab, which can be dragged to Process (plant BOP) elements:

Procedure

1. In the Teamcenter rich client, log on with administrator credentials, create a preference named EP_ShowProductBOPInProcessPlanning, and set its value to true. If the product BOP is defined in your work package, the Process Planning page displays that product BOP's structure:

2. Add the preference name EP_ShowProductBOPInProcessPlanning to AWC_StartupPreferences.

3. (Optional) To associate product BOP and process elements, drag:
   
   
   Product BOP processes from the product BOP to Process panel stations and process resources.
   
   Product BOP operations from the product BOP to Process panel stations, process resources, and processes.
