Create a plant BOP
Procedure
Choose File → New → Plant BOP.Teamcenter displays the New Plant BOP dialog box.
Select one of the plant BOP types from the list and click Next .For more information about creating additional plant BOP types, see BMIDE for Data Model Design.
Enter the ID number to be assigned to this new plant BOP. You can assign a unique revision number in the Revision ID box.Note To let the system automatically assign a unique ID, click Assign.
Type a name for the new plant BOP, following your company's naming standards.
(Optional) Type a description of the new plant BOP.
Click Finish to create the new plant BOP, or click Next to add more information.Note If the master forms contain mandatory fields, you must click Next at this step.
(Optional) Define any additional plant BOP master form information, and then click Finish to create the new plant BOP, or click Next to add more optional information.
(Optional) Define any additional plant BOP revision master form information, and then click Finish to create the new plant BOP, or click Next to add more optional information.
(Optional) Select Create BOP from Template and choose a template by entering its ID, searching for it by name, or searching for it by classification class.If you create a plant BOP from an existing plant BOP, Teamcenter does not maintain origin links between the two plant BOPs. If, however, the template plant BOP contains operations or processes that were allocated from a product BOP, Teamcenter maintains origin links from the allocated processes or operations in the new plant BOP back to the original product BOP.Note You cannot create a plant in another plant (Plant under an Plant).
(Optional) Assign the plant BOP to one or more projects. Teamcenter displays the list of projects to which the plant BOP can be assigned.
Select one or more projects from the Projects for Selection list.
Click the right-arrow button to move the projects to the Selected Projects list.
Click Finish to finish the project assignment and create the new plant BOP, or click Next to add more optional information.
Note The plant BOP is always owned by the project shown in the Owning Project box.
- (Optional) Define the open, display, and checkout behavior.
The Show as new root check box is always selected because a plant BOP must be a new root.
If you created an alternate identifier for the plant BOP, you can use the alternate identifier as the default display object. Select Use item identifier as the default display and Use revision identifier as the default display to set the alternate identifier as the default display object.
Select Check Out Plant BOP Revision on Create to lock the checkout of the associated plant BOP revision when the plant BOP is created.
- Click Finish to create the new plant BOP.
