Precedence constraints

End users can assign precedence constraints to ensure that one operation is performed before another without requiring those operations to be sequential.

The EP_PrecedenceConstraintsMode preference controls whether the precedence constraint solution is used during process planning. This preference is passed as a string property, and it must be a single value.

You can set the following values for the preference:

  • None—Easy Plan hides commands for this feature, and does not apply precedence constraints to data. This is the default value.

  • Prevention—End users can define precedence constraints, and Easy Plan prevents user actions if they violate the constraints.

  • Warning—End users can define precedence constraints, and Easy Plan displays a warning message if user actions violate the constraints.

Note

The EP_UsePrecedenceConstraints preference has been deprecated. For Easy Plan 2512 or later, use the EP_PrecedenceConstraintsMode preference to configure precedence constraints.
