Resolve cycle checks in the Line Balancing page

The Easy Plan Line Balancing page notifies you when data contains a cycle in the operation flow, which stations contain a cyclic flow, and what operations are involved in the cycle. You can then use that information to resolve cyclic flow issues.

Note

Sometimes plant bill of process (BOP) data is worked on in other applications, such as Process Simulate or Manufacturing Process Planning, and cyclic flows are introduced in those applications.

Procedure

  1. If you have not done so already, search for and open a work package, and then navigate to the Line Balancing page.
Easy Plan opens the Line Balancing page and displays a warning message when the data contains a cyclic flow. The message lists the stations that have a circular sequence, and each operation within the station that is involved in the cycle.

  2. Select a process station that has a circular sequence and in the Operations Sequence panel, resolve flow issues with operations in that station.

  3. Select each process station that has a circular sequence and resolve flow issues with operations within that station, until all stations listed in the warning message are resolved.
