Create process resources

You can create cobot, human, or machine process resources and then assign operations to those process resources to balance the line.

Prerequisites

You must add cobot to the list of valid values for the EP_LineBalancingProcessResourcesTypesForUtilization and EP_LineBalancingProcessResourceTypesForTotalWaitTime preferences.

In addition, you must add EP_LineBalancingProcessResourcesTypesForUtilization and EP_LineBalancingProcessResourceTypesForTotalWaitTime preferences to the AWC_StartupPreferences in the Teamcenter rich client.

Procedure

1. If you have not done so already, search for and open a work package, and then navigate to the Line Balancing page.

2. Select a process station and click More , then select Create Process Resource.

3. In the Create Process Resource dialog box click Type and select the process resource you want to create:
   Cobot Machine Operator

4. Type in a Name and do one of the following:
   To create additional process resources, click Create & Add More. To create a single process resource, click Create—Click this button to create one process resource and close the dialog box.
   Easy Plan creates the process resource, adds it to the process station, and then updates the process resource tile in the Line Balancing dashboard.

5. (Optional) Assign operations to the new process resource in the station.
