Configuring execution serial and lot numbers

Before end users can record or edit serial or lot numbers for parts and tools, you must complete these tasks.

  1. Install the Mrocore template during the Electronic Work Instructions installation or update.

  2. Enable required properties for the preferences used in your environment.

  3. Reference the PartLogisticsForm.

Enable required properties

To configure serial and lot numbers, you must enable required properties for each of preference that you use in your environment.

Enable each of the required properties for the preferences that you use:

  1. EWI_PartIsLotProperty

  2. EWI_PartIsSerializedProperty

  3. EWI_ToolIsLotProperty

  4. EWI_ToolIsSerializedProperty

  2. EWI_ToolsTableColumnShown

  3. Mfg0BvrPart.CellProperties

  4. Mfg0BvrEquipment.CellProperties

Reference the PartsLogisticsForm

You must reference the PartsLogisticsForm for object types that require a serial or lot number.

Note

If you use custom object types in your environment, you do not need to reference the PartLogisticsForm.

  1. Launch the Teamcenter rich client and open Manufacturing Process Planner.

  2. Locate and select the object type that you are configuring, such as a part or tool in the database.

  3. Right-click the object and select Send to My Teamcenter.

  4. Locate and check out the PartsLogisticsForm attached to the object.

    Note By default, Electronic Work Instructions verifies whether a PartLogisticsForm is attached to parts and tools, to determine whether these objects require serial or lot numbers.

  5. In the Properties field, change the Serialized and Lot properties to True and click Save.

  6. Check in the PartLogisticsForm.
