Create a generic BOP
Procedure
Choose File→New→Generic BOP.Teamcenter displays the New Generic BOP dialog box.
Select one of the generic BOP types from the list and click Next.For more information about creating additional generic BOP types, see BMIDE for Data Model Design.
Select the root partition type you want to create and click Next. (The root partition name and description are identical to those of the generic BOP; it is not necessary to specify them again.)
Enter the ID number to be assigned to this new generic BOP. You can assign a unique revision number in the Revision ID box.Note To let the system automatically assign a unique ID, click Assign.
Type a name for the new generic BOP, following your company's naming standards.
(Optional) Type a description of the new generic BOP.
Click Finish to create the new generic BOP or click Next to add more information.Note If the master forms or partition logical designator forms contain mandatory fields, you must click Next at this step.
(Optional) Define any additional generic BOP master form information, and then click Finish to create the new generic BOP or click Next to add more optional information.
(Optional) Define any additional generic BOP revision master form information, and then click Finish to create the new generic BOP or click Next to add more optional information.
(Optional) Define the logical designator of the root partition, and then click Finish to create the new generic BOP or click Next to attach files.
(Optional) Attach any files you want to associate with the generic BOP, and then click Finish to create the new generic BOP or click Next to assign the generic BOP to a project.
(Optional) Assign the generic BOP to one or more projects. The system displays the list of projects to which the generic BOP can be assigned.
Select one or more projects from the Projects for Selection list.
Click the right-arrow button to move the projects to the Selected Projects list.
Click Finish to finish the project assignment and create the new generic BOP, or click Next to add more optional information.
Note The generic BOP is always owned by the project shown in the Owning Project box.
- (Optional) Define the open, display, and checkout behavior.
The Show as new root check box is always selected because a generic BOP must be a new root.
If you created an alternate identifier for the generic BOP, you can use the alternate identifier as the default display object. Select Use item identifier as the default display and Use revision identifier as the default display to set the alternate identifier as the default display object.
Select Check Out Generic BOP Revision on Create to lock the checkout of the associated generic BOP revision when the generic BOP is created.
- Click Finish to create the new generic BOP.
