Set up Manufacturing Process Planner for Product Configurator

Note

If you already have Product Configurator available for Structure Manager there is no need to perform any of the following steps.

The administrator must install the following features using Teamcenter Environment Manager to connect Product Configurator to Manufacturing Process Planner and Structure Manager.

Procedure

1. Run Teamcenter Environment Manager (TEM) and navigate to the Features list.

2. Navigate to the Extensions branch and select Product Configurator and Product Configurator Support for Structure Manager.

3. Complete the installation of the features in TEM.

The features you added provide access to Product Configurator.

4. Restart Teamcenter and log on as administrator.

The restart is required to activate the new features.

5. Choose Edit→Options to open the preferences dialog box and set the Product Configurator preference.

6. Click the Search button and type PSM in the Search On Keywords box.

Preferences that begin with PSM are listed.

7. Select PSM_enable_product_configurator and click Edit.

8. Type True in the Value box and click Save.

9. Click Close.
