Validating manufacturing process plans > Using Process Simulate
Merge scene details
You can take scene data that is assigned to processes in Process Simulate and copy it to another process or merge data from several scenes in Manufacturing Process Planner. A scene is the term used to describe the scope of the information that is passed back and forth between Teamcenter and Process Simulate. Scene details (or scene data) is additional data that is created directly in Process Simulate and cannot be stored in the Teamcenter model. Scene data is stored as XML in a dataset attached to a Teamcenter process, process area, or study.
Procedure
Select the target process, process area, or study to which you want to copy or merge the scene details.
Choose Tools→Merge Scenes. The Merge Scenes dialog box is displayed.
In the structure views, select the processes or studies whose scene data you want to merge and click .Note The lines you select as source and target lines must always be the lines that you send to Process Simulate. Only these lines have scene data attached.
(Optional) Reorder the processes in the Scenes to Merge list by clicking a process and one of the direction arrows to move objects up and down in the list.Teamcenter uses the order of the scenes in this list to set the precedence of the scenes when merging. If scene data is contradictory, the scene data of the highest item in the Scenes to Merge list has priority over lower items in the list.
Click Merge. Teamcenter merges the scene data and saves the following with the target process.
