Create a partition

Procedure

Select the generic BOP, product BOP, or a partition within the generic BOP or product BOP to create a partition. Choose File→New→Partition or click the Create a New Partition button on the toolbar.Note This command is enabled only when you select a partition. Teamcenter displays the New Partition dialog box. The available partition types are listed at the left side of the dialog box, including all subtypes of the MEProcessPartition class.
Select a partition type, enter its name and (optionally) a description, and then click OK or Apply.Teamcenter creates the partition. If the logical designator of this class is defined, it also creates a new logical designator of this class, attaches it to the partition and opens the form for editing.
If a logical designator form is displayed, edit the content of the form and check it in. You must fill this form to successfully create the partition.If the form contains mandatory fields, enter the necessary data and click OK to continue. If the form does not contain mandatory fields, click OK immediately to continue.Note The form name is derived from the partition name and the suffix defined in the MELogicalDesignatorFormNameSuffix preference in the partition_name-preference_value format.
Add processes to the partition choosing File→New→Process.
