Creating PDIs

When you create a PDI of a process, Teamcenter creates a baseline of the associated operations and (optionally) resources as a set. It does not baseline the product structure or plant structure, and you must manually baseline these structures first.

By default, resources are not baselined. Your administrator must remove MSResource from the Baseline_omitted_occurrence_types preference to include them in the baseline.

Any resources consumed in these operations must be released, or you must have permission to baseline the resource items.

When you create a PDI, Teamcenter traverses each child of the structure, creates a new item revision under a specified baseline revision ID, and releases the new item revision. It does not include any occurrence groups in the structure in the PDI.
