View studies in Study Manager

If your administrator has enabled Study Manager, you can use Study Manager to view:

  • All studies in a collaboration context (CC) tree.

  • Only those studies in a particular process or plant structure contained in that tree (the structure or zone itself, the stations within it, and operations inside those stations).

  • Multiple structures in separate Study Manager views.

These views are useful when you creating a new study and want to verify if an existing study might already meet your needs.

Procedure

  1. If you have not already done so, hide studies in a CC tree for viewing in Study Manager or organize your studies for Study Manager use.

  2. Right-click the top row of the new CC and choose Open with → Study Manager.

The CC study content opens in Study Manager. The scope of the command is such that all studies attached to all structures in the CC tree are displayed. The scope—in this case, the CC tree itself—is displayed at the top of Study Manager, with the CC tree name displayed in smaller type beneath it.

  1. In a structure view that contains processes or operations used in one or more studies—for example, Process—select a top line and in the Study Manager and click Set input to recent selection .

The structure study content opens in Study Manager. The scope—in this case, the process structure 000092/A;1 - Process—is displayed at the top of study manager, with the CC tree name still displayed beneath it.

  1. To open an additional Study Manager view, right-click the top line of another structure view and choose Open with → Study Manager.
