General enhancements

You can now generate background accountability checks and quickly resolve error reports in an EBOM or MBOM.

BOM support and management

Solution variants are usually alternative parts of a product such as Base, Midclass, and Deluxe automobile features. Using solution variants, you can now either:

  • Create solution variants in an MBOM.

  • Refer solution variants from an EBOM and create solution variants in an MBOM.

Enterprise Recipe Management (ERM) improvements

Many enhancements to ERM are added in this release. You can now:

  • Create and edit conditional flows for any procedure, recipe unit procedure, or operation in an ERM recipe chart. These enhancements support recirculation, overflow, and custom flows.

  • Author a laboratory recipe to initially organize recipe procedures, operations, equipment, and materials before the product is ready for production.

  • Transform a recipe of one type to another type, including a lab recipe to a general recipe, a general or site recipe to a master recipe, or a general recipe to a site recipe. Parameters and data collection definitions (DCDs) are automatically cloned and transferred.

  • Use preferences and classification class and attribute settings to control visibility of classification classes, attributes, block classes, and block properties in Easy Plan recipe graph interface.

Navigation enhancements now make recipe charts more flexible. These include the following.

  • The ability to manually position nodes, or to add elements in any preferred direction using Add commands. The same commands are still available by clicking More .

  • A Save command that preserves the current authoring and positioning of your chart.
