Use the workflow handler to translate work instructions

You can use the workflow handler to initiate translations through a workflow. This lets you avoid having to translate the work instructions individually at the process level or the operation level.

You can design the workflow for the work package CC.

Procedure

  1. Select the work package containing the work instructions you want to translate.
    Note

The workflow handles translations for the work package CC.

To modify dictionaries, the administrator must grant access to the relevant user or group.

  2. In the Submit to Workflow panel, select the template that contains the translation task, then click Submit.
Tip For details on designing a workflow using the action handler, refer to the Teamcenter Workflow Designer documentation. You must enter the argument and the argument value in the specified syntax.

  3. Use the action handler EPW0WORKINSTRUCTIONS_work_instructions_translate.

  4. Enter the argument -targetLanguages to define the target languages for translation.

  5. Format the argument value as five-character language codes separated by commas, without spaces. For example, it_IT,zh_TW.
