Complete a Teamcenter Manufacturing Access installation

Perform the tasks in this topic to properly install and configure Teamcenter Manufacturing Access.

Note

The MFG Search page and TcMA Study Manager are in a Beta state. We are working to have it fully functional in future Active Workspace patch releases.

Process Simulate now supports the Edge browser, and Active Workspace no longer supports Internet Explorer.

Due to these changes, make sure your environment meets the following requirements:

• You must run Tecnomatix 2206. Warning Previous versions of Tecnomatix are not compatible with Teamcenter Manufacturing Access 2606.

• Tecnomatix 2206 requires a special hotfix for Microsoft Edge support.

• You must install Microsoft Edge on the client machine.

1. Use the Teamcenter Environment Manager (TEM) to install Microservices and Active Workspace gateway.

        Client → Active Workspace Gateway
      
      
        Microservices → Microservices Framework
      
      
        Microservices → Declarative Artifact Service
      
      
        Microservices → File Repository Service
      
      
        Microservices → Teamcenter GraphicQL Service
   

2. Install these components on the Active Workspace server:

        Server Extensions → Active Workspace
      
      
        Server Extensions → Teamcenter Manufacturing Access
      
      
        Server Extensions → Active Content Structure
      
      
        Server Extensions → Reuse and Standardization→ Classification Server
   

3. Install these components on the Active Workspace client:

        Client → Active Workspace Client
      
      
        Client → Teamcenter Manufacturing Access Client
      
      
        Client → Reuse and Standardization→ Classification Client
   

4. Install these components on the indexing solution server:

        Active Workspace → Indexing Server → Active Workspace Indexer
      
      
        Active Workspace → Indexing Server → Active Workspace Indexing Engine
   

Configure hosting preferences

Before you can use Teamcenter Manufacturing Access, you must configure the correct hosting preferences for your environment.

Note

Starting in version 6.2, the ActiveWorkspaceHosting.PS.URL is deprecated.

If you use the ActiveWorkspaceHosting.PS.URL preference, end users cannot connect to NX or use the MFG Search in Process Simulate.
