Allocating and propagating split processes

Sometimes a process is not intended to be fully implemented in a single station. Part of the process is intended to be carried out in one station while the other part should be performed in another station. In such a case, instead of allocating the process, allocate its child operations such that the operations that are relevant to the first station are directly allocated to that station (perhaps under a plant-specific process) and the remainder of the operations are allocated to that station. Do not allocate the process itself as problems arise when you later propagate from product BOP to plant BOP. If you allocate the process and remove the irrelevant operations, these removed operations reappear in the structure each time you propagate.
