Edit a BOM recipe

Once you create a BOM recipe, you can edit and update that recipe and then use it to resolve your manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM) with updated engineering bill of materials (EBOM) criteria. You can also remove an unwanted recipe from a list of available recipes.

A recipe defines the search criteria used to automatically assign nodes from an EBOM to an MBOM.

Procedure

  1. Search for and open a work package and navigate to the BOM Alignment page.

  2. If you have not already done so, create a BOM recipe.

  3. Enable Show Assignment State.

  4. In the MBOM panel, select the part or assembly that contains the recipe that defines the EBOM parts that you want to update or edit.

  5. In the Information panel, select the BOM Recipes tab. The tab displays available recipes for the selected MBOM assembly.

  6. Select a recipe and in the BOM Recipes toolbar, click Edit BOM Recipe .

  7. In the Edit BOM Recipe panel, do the following.

In the Name text field, modify the recipe name. In the Usage Address text box, type the usage address names of the parts you want to update from EBOM to MBOM, separated by semicolons (;). Example
