Upgrading or patching from Electronic Work Instructions 5.0 or earlier

Prerequisites

Before you upgrade or patch from Electronic Work Instructions 5.0 or earlier, verify that your environment meets these requirements:

• Teamcenter version that is compatible with the Active Workspace version in your environment.

• Microservice framework version that is compatible with the Active Workspace version in your environment.

Upgrade or patch from Electronic Work Instructions 5.0 or earlier

These instructions apply to environments that host Active Workspace versions 5.1 and 5.2 environments. In the following steps, a specific version of Active Workspace is not specified.

1. Uninstall all Electronic Work Instructions files from the client machine.

      Note 
        You must uninstall all files and remove any directories that were created as part of the installation.
   

2. Uninstall all Teamcenter manufacturing software files from the client machine. For example, if you installed Teamcenter Easy Plan Process Planning for BTO/BTS/CTO and Teamcenter Easy Plan Process Planning for ETO on the client machine, uninstall all files associated with those workspaces Note You must uninstall all files and remove any directories that were created as part of the installation.

3. Update Active Workspace to the correct version for your environment. See Updating Active Workspace and microservices in the Active Workspace documentation. You must update the Active Workspace version before you can install the Active Workspace and Electronic Work Instructions patches.

4. Install the patches for Active Workspace and Electronic Work Instructions on the client machine.

5. Reinstall all Teamcenter manufacturing software on the client machine.
