Open a product or EBOM/MBOM linked to another EBOM/MBOM

You can quickly open a product or EBOM (engineering bill of materials)/MBOM (manufacturing bill of materials) that is linked to another EBOM/MBOM. This capability also supports linkages between CAD BOMs and part BOMs.

Procedure

1. Open one or more product structures, EBOM or MBOM, in Manufacturing Process Planner.

2. Select the top or sublevel line in the EBOM or MBOM for which you want to find a linked product.

3. Click Open by Name and then click Open Product .

4. In the Open Product dialog box, select Linked to Product, and if it is not already selected, select the product structure you began with in step 2.

Tip You can also select a sub-level structure in the product structure you initially selected and click Set to selected product .

5. Click Search.

6. In the search results, double-click the linked structure that you want to view.
