Managing the enterprise BOP > Balancing a production line
Check constraint violation
Procedure
- In the Line Balancing Chart view, choose Constraints Violation Check from the view menu.
Teamcenter displays the Constraints Violation view listing any constraint violations arising from the allocation of the operations to the individual stations within a plant BOP. In addition, Teamcenter highlights the operations participating in the violations in pink in the line balancing chart. You can customize the colors used to represent violations in the line balancing chart using the MELBChartColors preference.
- Select a violation to see the list of participating operations in the lower section of the view.
Tip As you click through the list of violations, watch the highlighting in the Line Balancing Chart view. Often, you can see that one operation is highlighted more often than others as a participating member of a violation. By moving this operation first, you may address a large proportion of the violations.
- (Optional) Turn off the constraint highlighting in the Line Balancing Chart view by choosing Highlight Check Result→No Highlight in the view menu.
Tip You can highlight the check results any time, as long as the corresponding result view is not closed.
