Set effectivity for released target BOM elements

You can set the effectivity of a released revision of a target BOM element, such as a manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM) element, to indicate when a revision will be valid.

Prerequisites

The target BOM element for which you want to set release effectivity must have a released status. If the object has not been released, you cannot set its release effectivity.

Procedure

1. Navigate to the BOM Alignment page and in the target BOM panel, select an element with a released status.

2. In the target BOM toolbar, click Manage →Release Effectivity.
   Note This command is available only when you select a single item, and that item has a released status. If the item does not meet both conditions, the command is hidden.

3. In the Release Effectivity panel, select the release effectivity and click Add Effectivities.

4. In the Release Effectivity panel, modify the effectivity properties such as Date or Unit and ranges as necessary.

5. (Optional) If the object has a release effectivity set, you can hover on the effectivity and click Edit, then change effectivity properties.

6. (Optional) Click the release status list and select a different effectivity status.

7. (Optional) Click Remove to delete an existing effectivity on an object.

8. Click Save. The release effectivity properties you set are displayed in the Release Effectivity column in the MBOM panel.
