Open the Line Balancing page and confirm the variant rule

When you open the Line Balancing page, Easy Plan prompts you to use either the variant rule that is set for the plant bill of process (BOP) or the Product Variant list on the Line Balancing page.

Procedure

1. Open an existing work package, or create a new one.

2. From any page in Easy Plan, click the tile at the top of the page and select the Line Balancing tile. Easy Plan displays a dialog box to warn you that an active variant configuration is applied to the structure.

3. Choose one of the following options:

                Clear—resets the
                    structure configuration from the variant rule, allowing you to select a
                    configuration from the Product
                        Variant list and use that variant to balance the
                    line.
                Cancel—configures the structure based on the
                    plant BOP. You use the variant rule for the plant BOP to balance the line,
                    and the Product Variant list is not available for you
                    to use.
                        Note 
                            We recommend that you use the variant rule set for the plant
                                BOP.
   

4. Use Easy Plan to balance the line.
