Sequence DCDs

You can resequence data collection definitions (DCDs) to reduce downtime and improve shop floor workflows.

Procedure

  1. If you have not done so already, search for and open an existing work package, or create a new work package, and then navigate to the Process Planning page.

  2. In the Process tab or panel, select the process, process station, operation, compound operation, or execution step for which you want to resequence DCDs.

  3. In the information panel, select the DCDs tab. The DCDs tab contains any DCDs previously created for the selected object.
Tip If you do not see the DCDs tab, click the arrow in the tabs menu to expand or collapse the tabs list.

  4. In the DCDs tab, select one or more DCDs to resequence and then click More Commands > Cut. Teamcenter Easy Plan displays a message to indicate how many DCDs were cut.

  5. In the DCDs tab, select a DCD and then click More Commands > Paste and then select one of the following options.
Paste Before—Pastes the DCDs that you cut before the selected DCD.

Paste After—Pastes the DCDs that you cut after the selected DCD.

Teamcenter Easy Plan resequences the DCDs.

  6. (Optional) View the work package data in the Work Instructions Authoring page, or in Electronic Work Instructions. The DCDs are resequenced in all applications.
