Transform a recipe of one type to another type

You can transform a lab recipe to a general recipe, a general or site recipe to a master recipe, or a general recipe to a site recipe.

Set points, material and equipment assignments, DCDs, parameters, and attachments are carried over from the recipe source to the master target.

Prerequisites

Use the ERMTransformRecipeBOMappings preference to define one-to-one mapping.

Procedure

  1. On the Manage Work Package page, open or create a work package.

                 Note 
                     The work package does not need to have any formula or
                         manufacturing formula defined.
    
  2. In the Process group, click Add .
    Note If an existing process exists in the work package and it does not contain the general or site recipe that you want to transform, select it and click Delete , then click Add .

  3. In the Add Process panel, select the Transform tab.

  4. In the search box, type the partial name of the general or site recipe process you want to transform, and in the Filters group, use group or attribute controls to limit your search results.

  5. In the Results group, select the process to be transformed and click Next.

  6. From the Revision Rule list, select a revision rule, then in the Name text box, type the new recipe's name, and then click Transform.

Results

On the

Manage Work Package

page, the new process is displayed in the

Process

panel, and the appropriate task buttons are displayed in the

Tasks

panel.
