Configuring displayed data

• EWI_ActivitiesTableColumnShown—Defines the properties to be displayed in the activities table in the Electronic Work Instructions solution in the Active Workspace client. Valid values are internal property names of the type CfgActivityLine. Example me_cl_display_string Activity number (sequence). al_activity_time_system_category Type (time category). Values include:

NA. Not applicable.

VA. A value-added activity that is essential to the process.

NVA. A nonvalue-added activity that does not add value to the process and is not required.

NVABR. A nonvalue-added activity that is required.

me_cl_object_desc Activity description. al_activity_time_system_unit_time Unit time (the time it takes to perform the activity). al_activity_time_system_frequency Frequency (the number of times the activity is performed). al_activity_work_time Work time (the total time it takes to perform the activity). Work time is unit time multiplied by frequency.

• EWI_AnimationRelationsInfo—Defines the properties or relations data to be shown in the Animation pane in the Electronic Work Instructions solution in the Active Workspace Client. Accepts the following format: property-or-relation-name[:type-names] property-or-relation-name The property or the relation name of the step object (this is a subtype of a BOMLine object). type-names A comma separated list of internal business object type names of the secondary objects to show for the given property or relation. This argument is optional. If you do not provide the business object type names, all secondary object information is shown.

• EWI_AutoLoad3D—Controls whether 3D data should automatically load in the EWI viewer when the user clicks a thumbnail. Valid values are true or false (default).

• EWI_DataCollectionTableColumnShown—Defines the properties to be displayed in the data collection table in the Electronic Work Instructions solution in the Active Workspace client. Valid values are internal property names of the type Mes0BvrDCD, which is a sub-type of BOMLine. Default values are those with the prefix mes0DCD are properties of the Data Collection Definitions (DCDs). Values with the prefix ewi0DCExecution and ewi0Execution are values captured by or related to shop-floor personnel. • EWI_DocumentItemsRelationsInfo—Defines the properties or relations data that is displayed in the Documents tab. The default values are IMAN_specification:PDF,MSExcel,MSExcelX,MSWord,MSWordX,Text, CME_Report,TCPublishingPage,MSPowerPoint,MSPowerPointX,TC_Attaches:PDF..

Note Use the TCPublishingPage value to support Visio (.vsd files only).

• EWI_DocumentRelationsFilter—Defines the relation between a dataset and a document item revision. The default value for this preference is blank. All datasets attached to a document item revision that share the specified relationship to that document item revision will display in the Documents and References views. Tip To filter datasets attached to a document item revision, change the default value to a specific relation type. When you specify a value, Electronic Work Instructions displays only the dataset for that item revision.

• EWI_FORCE_SHOW_UNCONFIGURED_OFF—Defines whether Electronic Work Instructions (EWI) deactivates the Show Unconfigured preference from Manufacturing Process Planner (MPP) when loading structures Valid values include:

True—displays only configured data in loaded structures. True is the default value.

False—displays configured and unconfigured data in loaded structures.

Note Set EWI_FORCE_SHOW_UNCONFIGURED_OFF to False to enable EWI to display parts that are consumed in a bill of process (BOP) from a manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM) that is not the target of the BOP. Setting this preference to False ensures that the Parts tab in EWI displays:

Consumed parts from a non-target MBOM

Consumed parts from the target MBOM

Parts searched for in Teamcenter and assigned to the BOP

Additional helpful information about the EWI_FORCE_SHOW_UNCONFIGURED_OFF preference When the EWI_FORCE_SHOW_UNCONFIGURED_OFF is False, Electronic Work Instructions uses the following Manufacturing Process Planner definitions:

If Electronic Work Instructions is launched using a collaboration context (CC), the toggle values defined within the CC are used to configure bills of material (BOMs) in Electronic Work Instructions BOMs.

If Electronic Work Instructions is not launched with a CC, it uses the following Manufacturing Process Planner preference values to configure the BOM:

This argument is optional. If you do not provide business object type names, all secondary object information is shown.
