Setting up enterprise bill of process (BOP)

Setting up logistics planning

To set up the logistics management feature in Manufacturing Process Planner, there are the following installation prerequisites:

  • Vendor management

  • Enterprise bill of process

Additionally, you must select the following TEM options:

  • Logistic Process Planning

  • Logistics for Rich Client

Teamcenter installs or modifies the following preferences when installing this solution. Normally, you should not need to modify these preferences:

  • MEPlantRevision.RENDERING

  • MEPlantRevision.SUMMARYRENDERING

  • MEPlantRevision_DefaultChildProperties

  • MEPlantRevision_CompanyLocation_default_relation

  • MEAssignCustomizedOccurrenceType

To set up a basic logistics structure, the following is required:

  • Vendor items set up in the vendor management system representing each supplier, including an exact street address for each one

  • An address specified in the Summary view for each plant revision

  • A logistic BOP structure containing a linked plant and plant BOP structure

To allow the logistics station resolver to function properly with a collapsed plant BOP, you must ensure that the in-context ID is populated on all the consumed lines of the plant BOP. Set the MECopyIdInContextToAssignedLine preference to true before you assign any objects to the plant BOP structure.
