Base takt time on a production program definition

You can base takt time on the production program definition associated with a selected product variant, instead of using the default line takt time.

Prerequisites

Assign a takt time to one or more production program definitions. Each production program definition includes product variants.

To enable this feature, you must set the EP_TaktTimeForProductionProgramDefinition value to ProductionProgramDefinition. In addition, you must add EP_TaktTimeForProductionProgramDefinition to the AWC_StartupPreferences in the Teamcenter rich client.

Procedure

1. If you have not done so already, search for and open a work package, and then navigate to the Line Balancing page.

2. Click Product Variant and select a variant from the list.
   Easy Plan updates the Line Takt Time based on the production program definition to which the selected product variant is assigned. Note If no takt time is set in a production program definition, Easy Plan displays the line's default takt time.

3. (Optional) Balance the line for the selected product variant.

4. (Optional) Click Product Variant and select a different variant from the list. Each time you select a new product variant, Easy Plan dynamically calculates and updates the line takt time.

5. (Optional) Click Product Variant and select All from the list. Easy Plan calculates and displays the default line takt time.
