Add new components to a tool resource assembly

Add a new component to a new or existing tool resource assembly.

You can add a resource component to a tool resource assembly using one of several methods. For additional information, see Methods for adding components to a tool resource assembly.

Procedure

1. With a tool resource assembly opened, use one of the following:

Select Add Resource Component in the dashboard work area toolbar.

In the work area, select a resource root node, or a component, and select Add Resource Components in Workpiece Side .

In the work area, select a component and select Add Resource Component in Machine Side .

The Add panel (1) opens, with the class of the root node automatically selected in the Classification tab (2).

2. Select the component in the Components column (3). The classification of the selected component is displayed in the Classifications column (4).(Optional) Depending on the component selected, you can assign a different classification type.Note You can expand the Add window to display additional information.

3. (Optional) Use the New or Search tab, or the Filters field to locate the preferred resource classification.

4. (Optional) Use the New tab to add a new component. You must enter a name in the Name: field.

5. Click Add.
