Compare and update PMI assignment indications

Use the consumption and impact state comparison to compare assigned and changed PMI values and to update impacted PMI.

Procedure

1. If you have not done so already, search for and open an existing work package with an active manufacturing change notice (MCN), and then navigate to the Work Instructions Authoring task page.

2. To set up a useful PMI view, select the Process and PMI Assembly Level tabs, and in the Information panel, select the PMI tab.

3. Click the Show Comparison
   assignment comparison control.

4. Review PMI assignment indicators.

5. In the Process tab, select an impacted process or operation, and in the PMI Assembly Level tab, select an impacted PMI node.
   In this example, the impacted node is a linear dimension consumed outside the scope of the loaded process.

6. In the Information panel, select the PMI tab.

7. For each PMI object impacted by changes, do the following.

                    In the PMI tab,
                        click an impacted assignment indication icon.
                    
                          
                    
                
                
                    In the Review changes
                         dialog box, review the PMI specification
                        changes,
                        and if you approve, click Update.
