Configuring custom primary objects for use with DIPA

When you create custom primary objects such as custom plant BOPs, processes, process areas, lines, operations, and items, you must first make configuration changes using dynamic in-process assembly (DIPA) preferences and closure rules to ensure that they import correctly.

• For custom root (top level) items, the preference MEDynamicIPARootItemTypes needs to include all object types included in the assembly. This preference specifies the types of root items allowed in a DIPA (default = Item).

• For custom processes, do one of the following:

Change the preference MEDynamicIPATraversalClosureRule, to point to a new closure rule to be used for traversal of the process structure to calculate the DIPA.

Modify the DynamicIPAProcessOnlyWithPA preference to allow the custom process object types.

• To recursively generate the DIPA, modify the MEDynamicIPARecursiveCreateProcessTypes preference to include any new custom Bill of Process (BOP) object types.
