Managing the enterprise BOP > Migrating a classic BOP to a plant BOP

Using the Paste by Rule command

The Paste by Rule command is used after executing the me_populate_plantbop_from_bop command line utility to complete the migration with any needed minor cleanup. It allows you to paste one or more operations to a PlantBOP Station.

Main functional behavior

  • One or more operations are copied and shared from a classic BOP to a ProcessStation in PlantBOP.

  • Operations are selected recursively according to the closure rule.

  • Operations can be pasted to only one PlantBOP and one time per PlantBOP.

  • Operation occurrence properties are aligned according to the preference.

  • Paste by Rule logic follows the command line migration utility logic: however, the UI does not have station equivalence logic that the utility does.

The Paste by Rule command is located in Manufacturing Process Planner on the Edit menu and is only active after selecting valid objects; processes or operations in the source and process stations in the target.
