Multi-BOM Management workflows

Whatever your workflow, a wide variety of tools are available in Multi-BOM Management to suit your requirements.

Workflow	Available functionality
Manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM) aligned with engineering BOM (EBOM), or CAD BOM aligned with part BOM	You can: Author MBOMs from EBOMs. Author and manage part BOMs from CAD BOMs. Run basic and advanced accountability checks, as well as alignment checks between EBOMs and MBOMs, to ensure that all lines in the EBOM are accounted for in the MBOM. Note You can also run accountability checks on many types of structures. Track and propagate changes such as revised parts and BOM line property changes. Configure structures using Product Configurator variants such as option families, values, and rules.
Basic process planning	You can: Create a new work area (plant) structure. Manage incremental changes. Assign objects from one structure context to another, for example, EBOM to MBOM. Generate general BOM and bill of equipment (BOE) reports.
Advanced process planning	You can: Perform advanced structure searches.
