Update a work package source BOM revision

On the Manage Work Package page, update the root revision of a source BOM, such as an EBOM, to quickly apply milestone changes to a product.

Prerequisites

The

Update EBOM Revision

command is only available when:

• The preference MBMEnableUpdateEBOMRevision = true.

• The preference EP_WorkPackageContentType is defined with a value of EBOM:ItemRevision or EBOM:PSBOMViewRevision.

Procedure

1. Navigate to the Manage Work Package page.

2. In the Content panel, in the EBOM group, click Update EBOM Revision .

3. In the Update EBOM Revision dialog box, select the EBOM revision that you want to add to your work package.

   By default, the Update EBOM Revision dialog box displays a required column (Object), and three optional columns (Revision, Release Status, and Date Released). You can remove any optional column value from the MBMUpdateEBOMRevisionPopupColumnConfiguration preference.
   
   
   Only later revisions are displayed. You cannot apply the current version or earlier versions to the EBOM.

4. Click Update.

                The selected EBOM structure is updated in the
                        EBOM tile on the Manage Work Package page.
   

5. (Optional) Update any assignment mismatches between the source BOM and target BOM on the BOM Alignment page.
