Define constraints in the Line Balancing Constraints view

Procedure

  1. Select an operation as scope and choose Open With→Line Balancing Constraints.

Teamcenter displays the Line Balancing Constraints with the selected operation as scope.

  1. Load additional operations by doing one of the following:

Select another process or operation in the product BOP and drag it to the view.

Select one or multiple processes or operations in the product BOP and click Add Selection . This loads all of the selected objects.

Select one or multiple processes or operations in the product BOP and click Add Operations . If you select a process, this loads all the operations under the selected process, including all operations under all subprocesses.

Right-click a node, choose Add Previous Levels or Add Next Levels, and choose the number of levels to load. Note If there are no constraints between nodes, no additional process or operation is loaded.

  1. Draw constraints using the precedence creation mode.

Click the Create Constraints button.The cursor changes to .

Click the first operation participating in the constraint, and then drag the cursor to the next operation.

Teamcenter displays an arrow from the first to the second operation.

  1. Repeat step 3 until all the operations are joined in the desired sequence.

  2. (Optional) Remove a constraint by selecting it and clicking Delete .

Note If the PSM_Enable_Product_Configurator preference is set to true OR the configurator context is attached to the ProductBOP structure, the ProductBOP→Open With→Line Balancing Constraints option is not available in the rich client.
