Configuring the business object types in the New dialog boxes

To reduce the chance of error when Manufacturing Process Planner users select a new business object type to create, you can specify which object types are available in the New dialog boxes for specific users, groups, or roles. The filtering is dependent upon the type of New dialog box and selected object type. You perform this configuration using the following preference:

MEFilteredChildTypes_type-of-new-dialog_type-of-selected-component

For example:

• MEFilteredChildTypes_Item_Item for the New Item dialog box opened on a selected item

• MEFilteredChildTypes_OP_Process for the New Operation dialog box opened on a selected process

• MEFilteredChildTypes_Item_None for the New Item dialog box when no selection is active

You then publish the preference to the appropriate user, group, or role.
